Raloxifene is a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) that is sometimes used by bodybuilders and athletes to help reduce the negative effects of estrogen in the body, such as gynecomastia (the development of breast tissue in men) and water retention. In bodybuilding, raloxifene is sometimes used during or after a cycle of anabolic steroids to counteract the negative effects of increased estrogen levels. Anabolic steroids can increase the levels of both testosterone and estrogen in the body, and this can lead to estrogen-related side effects, such as gynecomastia. Effects on Bone
